Cognac and Cigar
In life there are few things that are as delightful and pleasing as enjoying a cigar and a warm cognac at the end of a long and stressful day. Sit back, relax, smoke a cigar and sip some fine cognac. Pleasure comes in many forms but for some there is not much to surpass this. The delightful pleasure of holding a well-wrapped cigar and enjoying a leisurely puff is something that many-sophisticated Gentleman look forward to at the end of a taxing day.
Many men find that a passion for Cigars ignites an unending affair, but something else is required to compliment the taste of aged tobacco smoke resting on the tongue. Cognac delivers rich full flavored warmth that is felt deep in the chest area where the cigar does not.
Cognac introduced back in the 16th century is a prestigious beverage that delivers strength and beauty to the palate. There are many different types offered by a vast array of houses but for refined connoisseurs there are a distinct few brands of note all with a familiar golden hue. My favorites are Hennessy XO Extra Old Cognac, Remy Martina XO Excellence Cognac and Courvoisier XO Imperial Cognac. The awesome sensation that arises when combining 25yrs old cognac and my favorite Cuban cigar always indulges the senses.
My favorite paring is the Courvoisier XO and a classic and smooth Bolivar Immensas. A very fine gentleman’s Cuban cigar indeed! The taste is a wonderful mixture of leather, spice, and coffee. Contrast this with the long smooth warmth of the Courvoisier and you have heaven in your mouth.
